LimeRock Inn is tucked away on a quiet street in Rockland’s Historic District yet steps away from downtown for a visit to world-class museums, fine dining, Main Street shopping, and what Down East magazine referred to as "mid-coast Maine's most beautiful ocean walk." Encircled by a wraparound porch and landscaped gardens, this beautiful turreted Victorian mansion is an exquisite example of Queen Anne and Eastlake architecture reminiscent of the gracious lifestyle of Rockland in the late 19th century. We blend the best of classic style with modern appointments with eight guest rooms all with ensuite baths. We are the original and authentic "live like a local" vacation rental experience! As resident owners, we offer 24 hour concierge services and daily housekeeping. With a strong commitment to promoting environmentally friendly practices, LimeRock is also certified as a Maine Lodging Environmental Leader in recognition of the owners’ green efforts promoting reduced water usage, energy conservation, and recycling.

We would like to offer a sincere thank you to our guests as LimeRock was recently named a 2023 Travelers' Choice Winner by TripAdvisor!

The eight guest rooms are named after regional islands or architectural elements. All offer en-suite baths, with select rooms appointed with whirlpool or claw foot soaking tubs. The room décor is eclectic, varying from luxurious and ornate Victorian to cottage-style charm. Belgian and organic cotton linens, Turkish towels, chocolates, and bottled water are some of the luxurious amenities you will find at the inn.

Please inquire into which rooms can be equipped with safety items such as portable shower bars, shower chairs, and non slip tub mats.

WRAPPED IN HISTORY

18839475_1444603085603699_8460846267445813668_o.jpg

The Victorian mansion was originally built in 1892 for Congressman Charles E. Littlefield. The home was purchased in 1950 and for nearly 50 years was where Dr. Oren Lawry Jr. ran his medical practice. In 1994 it was sold and converted into Rockland’s first B&B, ultimately saving it from falling into disrepair or being separated into apartments. It has lovingly been run as a premiere B&B since that time and continues to welcome guests to relax in elegant comfort while exploring beautiful mid-coast Maine.
